Marian Volráb náleží mezi výrazné autorské osobnosti , jejichž sklářská tvorba je úzce provázaná s paralelní tvorbou malířskou. Tento vzájemný vztah má mnoho různých podob. V případě Mariana Volrába se jedná o spřízněnost dvou poloh, které by bylo možné charakterizovat jako „temnota ve skle – světlo v obrazech“. Inspiraci nachází ve formách, které vytvořila sama příroda a své skleněné objekty z taveného skla, podobné vytékající lávě, dokončuje hrubými brusnými kotouči.

Vedle sklářských realizací jsou Volrábovy malby plné měkkého světla, křehkosti a barevné jemnosti. Drsná drásavá neuhlazenost výrazu skla je v nich nahrazena subtilní chvějivostí linií i ploch, často se překrývajících či napolo smazaných, jako by se hledaný tvar obtížně rodil, hledajíce váhavě svou pravou formu. I když jsou v nich zašifrované motivy postav, mají opět podobu jakýchsi vnitřních krajin.

Marian Volráb is one of the prominent authors whose glasswork is closely linked with parallel painting. This interrelationship takes many different forms. In the case of Marian Volráb, it is an affinity between two positions that could be characterized as "darkness in glass - light in pictures". He finds inspiration in the forms created by nature itself and finishes his glass objects made of molten glass, similar to flowing lava, with rough grinding wheels.

In addition to glass realizations, Volráb's paintings are full of soft light, fragility and color delicacy. In them, the rough, harrowing unsmoothness of the expression of the glass is replaced by the subtle wobble of lines and surfaces, often overlapping or half-erased, as if the sought-after shape was born with difficulty, hesitantly searching for its true form. Even though the motifs of the characters are encrypted in them, they again have the form of some kind of inner landscapes.
