Dominantním inspiračním zdrojem se Jaromírovi Rybákovi stal podmořský svět, tvorové z temných neznámých hlubin, hrůzní i nádherní, něžně pitoreskní zjevení i bezohlední ozubení dravci. Zrovna tak jako autorovy rybí přízraky mohou však vypadat i démoni, kteří vystupují z mnohdy ještě černějších hlubin lidské mysli. Výrazným autorským přínosem Jaromíra Rybáka do světa moderní skleněné plastiky je provázání skla a kovu v jednolitý celek s prvky napětí i výrazové monumentality. Jde o jeden ze zásadních autorsky originálních momentů české i mezinárodní umělecké tvorby. Rybákova malířská tvorba se rozvíjí paralelně s jeho prostorovými realizacemi, je výrazem autorovy volné imaginace a zachycuje asociace reálného světa s fantaskními tvory nebo používá přírodní jevy jako základ abstraktní malířské kompozice.

Jaromír Rybák's sculptures have the ability to fascinate, but also to unsettle and frighten. In the author's works, the dazzling beauty of the light and color effects of glass is combined with monumentality of form and fantastical bizarreness. The dominant source of inspiration for Jaromír Rybák was the underwater world, creatures from the dark unknown depths, terrible and beautiful, tenderly picturesque apparitions and ruthless toothed predators. However, demons can look just like the author's fish ghosts, which emerge from the often even blacker depths of the human mind. Jaromír Rybák's significant authorial contribution to the world of modern glass sculpture is the intertwining of glass and metal into a single unit with elements of tension and expressive monumentality. It is one of the fundamental and original moments of Czech and international artistic creation. Rybák's painting work develops in parallel with his spatial realizations, is an expression of the author's free imagination and captures associations of the real world with fantastic creatures or uses natural phenomena as the basis of an abstract painting composition.
