"Barva je fenomén, jejich spojením vznikne symfonie, je jasná, hravá, umí dát prostor, naději, říct věci, které se slovem říct nedají. Je to tušení, atmosféra ... to všechno barva umí ... Jste ten dirigent, který má v ruce orchestr palety, kdy zcela záměrně kladete barvy tak, aby ladily, ale v jistém okamžiku stvoříte kakofonii, to udělá napětí toho díla."

Umělecká tvorba Bohumila Eliáše (1937 Nasobůrky - 2005 Praha) byla vždy živelnou erupcí potřeby tvořit. Užíval si naplno expresivní barevnosti a tvarové rozmanitosti, neváhal experimentovat s nezvyklými postupy a spojeními. Jeho plastiky a obrazy zastoupené v desítkách veřejných i soukromých sbírek uchovávají dílo výjimečně invenčního a solitérního umělce světového formátu.

"Colour is a phenomenon, their combination creates a symphony, is bright, playful, able to give space, hope, to say things that cannot be said in words. It's a feeling, an atmosphere... color can do it all...You are the conductor who holds an orchestra of palettes, when you deliberately place colors to match, but at some point you create a cacophony, that will make the work tense."

The artistic work of Bohumil Eliáš (1937 Nasobůrky - 2005 Prague) has always been a spontaneous eruption of the need to create. He fully enjoyed expressive colors and shape variety, he did not hesitate to experiment with unusual procedures and connections. His sculptures and paintings represented in dozens of public and private collections preserve the work of an exceptionally inventive and solitary artist of world stature.
